Do i need to attend the delivery ?
No, as long as we can gain access to your house. All our tankers have metered delivery tickets (trading standards approved) so you will receive an exact delivery volume.

I wish to arrange a specific delivery time
Please just enter any specifics you wish on our order confirmation section.

If i order an amount and the tank can't take it?
You will only pay for the volume of fuel delivered. But please note there will be an administration charge of £10.00 for any refund. Sorry however if your delivery is less than 500 litres there can be no credit or refund offered.

Can I order a top-up?
Sorry but the economics behind oilseeker means that we require the fuel to be prepaid which requires us to know the exact volume of fuel to be delivered.

How far can the tankers hose stretch?
Most tankers hoses can stretch 40m (120ft)

What type fuel do i need?
There are 2 main types of heating oil. Most domestic houses run on kerosene (also known as 28 second oil) Another product is gas oil or red diesel (also known as 35 second oil) and is more common for industrial and agricultural uses. If you do not know what fuel is in your tank your last delivery ticket will probably tell you. There may also be a sticker on the fuel tank or check with the boiler engineer who may have left a contact sticker on the boiler. Unfortunately at this time oilseeker can only supply kerosene.

How much fuel do i order?
Minimum amount you can order is 500 litres. Most of our customers order between 900 and 2800 litres. The more you order the cheaper the price will be. If you have ordered and paid for more than your tank can take we will credit your account with the diffrence, but please note there will be an administration fee for any credit raised.

How many litres are there in a gallon?
There are 4.546 litres in a gallon.

How do i pay?
When you order your kerosene through oilseeker, you pay for it immediately through our secure facility.

What is the current vat rate on kerosene?
All customers pay 5% vat on heating oil, regardless of volume.
